Wax ring this secures the flange to the base of the toilet.
Secure toilet flange to rotted floor.
Attach using your used or new screws and bolts.
3 remove the two hold down bolts one on either side of the toilet.
This is so the wax ring seals properly to the flange and the hub on the toilet.
Screw the new flange into the subfloor.
The new bolts will secure the flange against the bottom of the toilet.
Place the super ring replacement toilet ring over the waste line making sure the mounting bolts are in the same place as the original bolts were one bolt on each side of the flange.
Closet toilet flanges must be 1 4 above a finished floor.
Soak up the last of the water inside the tank with a sponge wringing it out into a bucket.
Screw the toilet flange onto the concrete use tapcon anchors or a similar type of masonry concrete screws to fasten the toilet flange to the concrete slab.
With the toilet flange in place you are ready to install the toilet with a new wax ring.
Remove the two closet bolt nuts securing the toilet base to the floor.
You can leave the new toilet flange off stub the new soil pipe up to the floor and then install the new flange after you have finished repairing the floor.
Flush the toilet to empty the tank.
Wrench this is needed to unfasten the existing bolts on your toilet and around the flange.
If the flange is lower than or flush with the floor they make foam rings that cover the distance for a proper seal.
If only the area directly below the flange is rotted you can install a two piece steel closet flange support.
If you discover minor rot around the toilet flange install a closet flange support under the flange to transfer the weight of the toilet to solid wood.
Make sure that there are no spaces between the flange and the floor before screwing it into place.
If a proper seal is not achieved it will result in leaking.
Cdx plywood works well here because of the recurring chance for water damage.
Slide the two closet bolts in their slots and align their caps with the holes.
Lift the toilet off the flange and set it aside.
Screwdriver use a multi bit screwdriver to loosen screws and remove the toilet.
Screw the new flange to the floor using a screwdriver and the new screws that came in the product package.
If using a plastic flange ring be careful not to crack the ring by screwing the anchors in too far.
